Postbank and Vivacom in Bulgaria are joining forces in a special partnership to present and promote the “Smart POS by Postbank” mobile application, designed to facilitate digital payments for small businesses in Bulgaria. This partnership aims to enable SMEs operating in the commercial sphere and accepting payments to switch to contactless payments.
The “Smart POS by Postbank” service is a mobile application that turns a mobile phone into a POS. The software makes it possible to easily and conveniently accept Mastercard and Visa card payments, including digitized cards, directly on a smartphone, thus eliminating the need to purchase, install, and maintain an additional POS device. This Smart POS offers a user-friendly interface and features that make digital payments accessible to everyone. To guarantee a high level of security and speed in every transaction, the technology used in EMV chip cards is applied. This allows customers to easily, conveniently, and reliably manage their businesses – anywhere and anytime.
The current campaign for “Smart POS by Postbank” is implemented with the support of the card organizations, thanks to the international experience of Mastercard, as a leader in technological solutions for card payments and supporting the digitalization and competitiveness of small businesses in Bulgaria, which is part of the strategy of the company to include 50 million SMEs worldwide in the digital economy by 2025.
“Smart POS by Postbank” works with all smartphones that have built-in NFC technology and the Android operating system and are part of the Vivacom portfolio. In 2023, the telecom introduced the first affordable Vivacom 5G smartphone, which at an attractive price provides users with all the services they need in one place for a great 5G experience, including NFC functionality enabling digital payments.
