The ability to set up a business completely online via Pekao24 online banking or the PeoPay mobile application and to get access to the “Accounting with a Wisent” platform – these are only some of the facilities that micro-entrepreneurs can use at Pekao Bank in Poland.

Pekao Bank decided to propose solutions that would facilitate the organizational and bureaucratic activities of Polish micro-entrepreneurs.

In addition to the offer covering the financing of current and investment activities, loan consolidation, purchase of invoices as part of the factoring service, leasing, credit and debit cards, a POS without a fee for two years or a year of free business account with bonuses up to PLN 2,000 (approx. EUR 450), Pekao Bank`s business customers can use the “Accounting with a Wisent” platform, medical packages, the Gallery of Discounts for businesses or professional IT support.

“A comprehensive approach to the entrepreneurs’ needs is our priority. Through our offer, we want to make it as easy as possible for business customers to set up and run their businesses. I am glad that from April 2023, it became possible to connect online banking with the accounting platform. Both new and existing customers can manage their financial and accounting matters in one place free of charge in the case of self-invoicing or at an attractive price using additional tools or a professional accountant,” – says RadosÅ‚aw Twarużek, Director of the Business Customer Department at Pekao Bank.

Setting up a business online

The first convenience for people planning to run a sole proprietorship is the ability to set up their businesses free of charge with an online account. It is enough to complete one application in Pekao24 online banking or the PeoPay mobile application. Based on this application, an entry to the Central Registration and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) will be made, the Tax Identification Number (NIP) and the Business Identification Number (REGON) will be assigned and an application will be sent to the Social Security Office (ZUS). The application can be completed in 10-15 minutes.

“Accounting with a Wisent”

Nowadays, entrepreneurs are looking for ways to reduce unnecessary costs. One of the options is to resign from keeping the business` accounting by the current accounting office in favor of self-booking or change the current accountant to one that offers online services. Pekao Bank`s business customers who run a sole proprietorship can take advantage of such a solution because they have at their disposal the “Accounting with a Wisent” platform combined with online banking. Thanks to the connection of the accounting platform with the Pekao24 service, they can smoothly switch between them without having to log in additionally.

Platform users can manage the business`s finances in one place and book documents on their own, or use the services of professional accountants remotely. Independent issuance of domestic or foreign invoices is free of charge and without quantitative limits.

In addition, in the “Upcoming payments” section in Pekao24, the customer can view liabilities registered in the accounting along with the payment date. A useful function is also the payment of liabilities registered in “Accounting with a Wisent” directly from Pekao24 or the option of initiating payments from the accounting platform. The accounting platform also has additional possibilities for managing the business’s finances, e.g. a payment collection module, payment planner, or the option of archiving other accounting documents.

The “Accounting with a Wisent” platform is constantly adapted to changes in the law and has been prepared following the requirements of the mandatory National e-Invoice System to be introduced in 2024.
