BNP Paribas Bank in Poland helps its customers in making good decisions. In cooperation with Elavon, a global payment solutions provider, BNP Paribas Bank has allowed its business customers to order POS terminals directly from the GOonline service. The solution, aimed mainly at micro-enterprises, was prepared using Elavon’s knowledge and resources and integrated with the Bank’s systems.

“The cooperation between BNP Paribas Bank and Elavon aims to facilitate the activities of micro-enterprises by providing them with access to fast and hassle-free payment solutions through our GOonline service. The launch of this simple, fully digital process underlines our commitment to providing innovative services tailored to the needs of business customers and confirms that entrusting us with business finances was a good decision,” – comments Marzena Szczepanik, Product Owner of the Transactional Banking Product for Business Customers at BNP Paribas Bank.

As part of the cooperation, Elavon introduced a simplified registration procedure for the BNP Paribas Bank’s business customers. This fully digital process minimizes the time and formalities necessary to start using the payment acceptance service. The product was designed specifically for the Bank’s customers, especially sole entrepreneurs who want to accept cashless payments. The self-registration function allows them to submit online applications, upload the required documents, select preferred POS terminals, and view related fees, all within a streamlined and user-friendly interface.

“In today’s rapidly changing financial landscape, digitalization and automation have become key elements. The implemented initiative highlights the commitment of both BNP Paribas Bank and Elavon to improving the quality of customer service. The essence of this cooperation is to enable individuals running a sole proprietorship to quickly start accepting payments while maintaining a minimum of formalities. This is a very simple process that can be carried out entirely online – using the Bank’s services and the Elavon portal,” – says  RafaÅ‚ Gołębiewski, General Manager SMB Poland, Germany, Scandinavia at Elavon.

With an average application completion time of 10-12 minutes, applications are reviewed by Elavon within 24 hours. This streamlined process means that customers only need to wait for their POS terminals to arrive before they can start accepting payments. Although the self-registration option is a recent development, the interest in it reflects the need for efficient and user-friendly solutions in the market.

BNP Paribas Bank has also made several other digital solutions available to its customers so far. One of them is behavioral protection, which allows for recognizing a situation in which someone other than the account holder uses GOmobile or GOonline services. Another example of incorporating the latest technologies into the BNP Paribas Bank ecosystem is the launch of the GENiusz chatbot based on generative artificial intelligence. The solution has so far been made available to employees from retail and corporate banking, ESG, cybersecurity, operations, compliance, and HR and helps them acquire knowledge gathered in the Bank’s internal resources.
