ING Lease in Poland has established cooperation with the supplier of cargo bikes, Urvis Bike. Entrepreneurs will be able to finance the purchase of bicycles by leasing, and the entire process will be able to take place remotely.
Cargo bikes are an effective tool for accelerating deliveries. This area generates up to 60% of the cost of the entire product logistics, and as shown by a study by the University of Westminster in London, cargo bikes in city centers are 1.6 times faster than vans, and at the same time achieve higher average speeds.
“With the increase in online trading, the demand for efficient and fast deliveries is growing. Online shopping is an everyday thing for us. With subsequent purchases, our expectations towards suppliers and couriers are growing, regarding not only the time but also the flexibility of collection. There will be more and more deliveries in cities, and this brings challenges related to congested streets, difficulties in parking vehicles, and the impact on the environment, the health of residents, and the quality of life in the city. Our mission is to support entrepreneurs so that they can develop their businesses, acquire new customers and efficiently provide them with their goods or services. That is why we are happy to cooperate with Urvis Bike, which offers cargo bikes as an alternative means of transport, and we can finance them,” – says Marcin Sobczak, Vice President of the Management Board at ING Lease (Poland).
“Cargo bikes are quite inconspicuous vehicles. However, it combines the possibilities of reducing the negative impact of deliveries on the environment and public health, while accelerating these deliveries, especially in congested city centers and over distances of up to 5-7 km. As if that wasn’t enough, we measured the cost of riding an electric cargo bike 100 km with a load of 80 kg and with the maximum level of assistance. It amounted to PLN 1.28 (approx. EUR 0,3). Their wider use is a process that must take time. The need for a change in thinking about logistics or infrastructure development, but with the benefits that bicycles bring and the inevitability of changes such as closing cities to car traffic and growing expectations regarding the ESG policy of business, we believe that this is the future,” – adds Paweł Raja, CEO at Urvis Bike.
An additional advantage in favor of the development of micro transport by cargo bike is the ease of obtaining financing in the form of leasing. The ING Lease Now offer is available both directly at Urvis Bike and via remote channels. The process of filling out the application or adjusting the structure of the offer to your needs takes about five minutes. Initial payments or agreements can also be made online. The next advantage is the lack of the need to present financial documents.
How does the solution work in practice? The customer needs to choose a bike, parameterize it to his/her needs, and arrange a delivery date. The customer receives an initial financing proposal at the e-mail address provided. Importantly, it can be parameterized to suit his/her expectations. Then the customer should click “Leasing”, and fill out a short application. The last step is to sign the agreement, e.g. by logging in to online banking. Urvis Bike and ING Lease are jointly responsible for the execution of the order.
