Digiteal and Partner Hub announce a non-exclusive co-marketing agreement to demonstrate the value of integrating e-invoicing directly into banking channels in the Benelux countries and France.
E-invoicing is becoming part of everyday life for European businesses, with mandates already in force or on the horizon in all EU countries. This compliance mandate will create new business opportunities for banks.
When combined with real time payments and open banking, e-invoicing streamlines accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, facilitates seamless integration with business workflows, and unlocks new value-added services for business banking clients.
Integrating electronic invoice management into banking channels allows banks to become the financial one-stop-shop for SME customers, covering all their finances and financial administration activities. This capability will represent a strong differentiator for banks aiming to reach the primary bank status, resulting in deeper customer relationships, increased transactions and financing revenues, higher deposits and lower risk costs.
An end-to-end digital customer journey for integrated digital trade, inclusive invoice management and payments will save valuable hours for merchants and SME customers, when they do not have to take time entering manual data to manage payments, or check more systems for real time outstanding receivables information. In addition to time saved, contextual embedded financing offers can be presented to them. Based on invoice data, banks can provide powerful insights, collect to-dos and give suggestions for better liquidity management.
Digital invoice data allows to digitise banks’ payments and invoice financing processes. According to McKinsey, at least 30% operational efficiency gains can be realized on digitising customer journeys.
Invoice data matched with banking customer data/profile provide a 360° overview of business risk, therefore enabling personalized financial offers real time. Real time factoring and complex e-invoice payments are made possible by Partner Hub and Digiteal joint solutions.
Cedric Neve, CEO, Digiteal, said:
“Digiteal provides APIs that enable accounting, invoicing and ERP software to send and receive documents to/from the Peppol network. For banks and companies providing financing services, the partnership with Partner Hub enables us to bundle those services with a service and integration layer so that they can quickly add these options into their banking channels or start making use of the data collected from those invoicing processes. This powerful combination is a game-changer for banks that used to rely on one year old accounting positions and some bank account balances and transaction data. This was not giving them a full picture of their customers’ financial health and financing needs. With accounts payable and accounts receivable now part of the picture, those services are now supercharged with insights that make them truly stand-out.
Katalin Kauzli, CEO, Partner HUB, added:
“Partner HUB’s white label digital invoice management technology has been at the forefront of e-invoicing automation and real time payment integration with bank B2B/B2C eco-systems for more than a decade, as the Hungarian market has introduced real time reporting of invoice data and real time payments before SEPA and EU-wide e-invoicing mandates. Banks and financial service providers should act now to leverage the strategic value of invoice data and capitalize on emerging use cases as e-invoicing is becoming the new norm worldwide along with real-time payments. The structured data formats mandated by regulation will serve as the bedrock for next-generation payment solutions, enabling unprecedented levels of process automation, customer engagement, and service innovation.
Through our cooperation with Digiteal, we expect to accelerate the European scalability dimension to our platform by embedding it into banks all over Benelux countries and France.”
