- improves cash flow and reduces delays
More importantly, it creates a seamless payment experience, removing friction for both parties.

Another key focus was the integration of banking services directly into ERP systems.
Instead of logging into banking portals, businesses can:
- initiate payments
- manage liquidity
- access financing
— directly from their internal systems
This is where API banking becomes truly powerful:
- banking disappears as a destination
- it becomes a function embedded into workflows

The Missing Piece: From Technology to Orchestration
One of the core insights from the webinar is that technology alone is not enough.
Many banks already have APIs—but struggle to scale their usage.
Why?
Because successful API banking requires:
- clear business use cases (not just technical capabilities)
- orchestration across systems and partners

This shifts competition from bank vs bank
to ecosystem vs ecosystem

- Focus should shift from features → to use cases and outcomes
- Integration into customer workflows is key
- Partnerships are not optional—they are critical
Most importantly: APIs only create value when they are used
