BNP Paribas Bank in Poland has made it possible to conclude currency transactions quickly on the phone in a new application, common for all customers – from individuals to the largest enterprises. GOdealer is a lightweight, intuitive mobile service for users of FX Pl@net, the Bank’s currency platform. From June 17, the application can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store.
In two years – from April 2020 to April 2022 – the number of FX Pl@net users increased by 65 %, and the average daily number of transactions increased by 61 %. The mobile application is a response to the needs of the users of the BNP Paribas Bank’s currency platform. While FX Pl@net is accessed via GOonline or GOonline Business, GOdealer is an independent application of mobile banking. The advantage of a separate application for FX Exchange is quick access to key information for the customer and the ability to instantly order currency transactions.
“In the era of dynamic changes in the currency market, the speed of reaction is crucial. Immediate access to the mobile platform, without the need to log into electronic banking, and a convenient and intuitive design are important not only for the user experience but also for real transaction opportunities,” – emphasizes Wojciech Regulski, Head of E-Commerce & Micro FX Sales at BNP Paribas Bank.
The GOdealer application, which is the mobile version of the website, maintains the settings of the FX Pl@net user profile. Importantly for business customers, the application also allows switching between individual user profiles.
“The design of the application is distinguished by its lightness and an intuitive way of interacting with the user, who can freely adapt the interface to their own needs,” – says Michał Poźniak, Product Owner of the GOdealer application at BNP Paribas Bank. “The customer himself chooses how the exchange rates and information about transactions are to be presented. We made sure that they were clear and legible, which was confirmed by the participants of our research,” – he adds.
The GOdealer application provides the opportunity to execute foreign exchange transactions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The product offer available in the application is tailored to each group of customers: individuals, Wealth Management, micro-entrepreneurs, companies from the SME sector, and large enterprises. The exchanges can be made from one currency unit, as part of transactions with the value date “today”, “tomorrow”, and spot (the last two types are available for business customers). The customers can also place offers, i.e. pending orders, in which they independently define the exchange rate and the date of the transaction. If the indicated conditions appear in the market, the transaction will be processed automatically. The Bank also took care of convenient and safe logging in with a PIN, a fingerprint, or face recognition.
BNP Paribas Bank has already announced the expansion of future versions of the application with new functionalities from the FX Pl@net.
