ING Bank Poland implements the strategy of switching to cloud solutions and is the first Bank in Poland to launch a key business application supporting all lending processes in the cloud computing environment. The application handles over a million queries a day.
“The cloud solutions at ING are one of the key elements of the technology strategy that assumes the widespread use of the multi-cloud model, open standards, and native mechanisms. Transformation and migration of business applications to a cloud computing environment is an important area of financial institutions – bringing many business and technological benefits. This translates not only into increasing flexibility, speed of response to the needs of our customers, or shortening the time of introducing new products to the market but also into business scalability and security,” – said Sławomir Soszyński, Vice President of the Management Board of ING Bank Poland responsible for the Tech Division and IT security.
The first application that ING has transferred to cloud computing is an application that supports all of the Bank’s lending processes. It uses hundreds of business rules, thanks to which it is possible to analyze data in detail, make decisions on granting loans and prepare loan offers, both for individual customers and entrepreneurs. These types of solutions improve the efficiency of services and increase the efficiency of the lending process.
