ING launched digital signature for leasing agreements in Moje ING app

ING Lease in Poland has provided customers, that are using the Lease Now platform, a new way of signing a leasing agreement – by a one-time qualified mSzafir signature. There is no need to have a qualified signature to use it, only Moje ING mobile banking app is required.

Lease Now is a platform that connects manufacturers, sellers of machines and devices as well as entrepreneurs and business owners who need these machines to develop their business. Thanks to Lease Now, suppliers expand their sales opportunities, and buyers gain quick and convenient access to financing.

“For lessees, Lease Now is like a payment method – quick and non-engaging. We realize that entrepreneurs want to deal with their affairs, including leasing, fully remotely, without formalities, and at a time convenient for them. At Lease Now, leasing can be arranged at any time of the day, on any day of the week. The signature of mSzafir in Moje ING is now the easiest way to sign a leasing contract” emphasizes Arkadiusz Kuczera, Vice President of ING Lease (Poland) responsible for the Business Development and Customer Service Division.

How is the agreement signed by mSzafir?

  • The customers logs in Moje ING app After giving the consent,
  • Moje ING provides information about the identity to KIR (a key entity of the Polish payment system infrastructure, which renders complex clearing services),
  • KIR issues a one-off qualified certificate,
  • The customers confirms through Moje ING that he has read the document and that he is willing to sign it.

“The implementation of mSzafir at ING Lease is a significant step towards increasing the digitization of the leasing industry. I am convinced that the result of using mSzafir will be the optimization of document flow in our partner’s company, which will translate into improved work comfort and will contribute to the simplification of relations between employees and customers” says Piotr Alicki, President of the Management Board at KIR.

The customer can use leasing and sign an agreement in a convenient place and time, fully digitally, and the whole process takes a few minutes. The qualified electronic signature of mSzafir complies with the requirements of the eIDAS regulation and has legal force equivalent to the signature.
