ING Poland has just become the first bank in the country to integrate the new mandatory e‑invoicing system (KSeF) with payments directly inside its business banking app.
The obligation to use electronic invoice circulation within the National e‑Invoice System (KSeF) took effect in Poland on February 1 for companies whose 2024 turnover exceeded PLN 200 million. Beginning April 1, the requirement will extend to all other entrepreneurs, including sole proprietors.
Companies that maintain a business account with ING Bank Poland and use the Moje ING or ING Business online banking platforms can seamlessly connect their banking system to the KSeF platform. This integration allows users to view their expense invoices directly within their online banking environment, removing the need to log in to the ministry’s portal. Additionally, the system automatically prepares transfer data based on KSeF documents (embedded payments), eliminating manual entry of account numbers or payment amounts.
The solution also enhances financial oversight through transparent payment statuses. Once a transfer is initiated, the invoice status automatically updates to “paid.” Manual updates are also possible, which is particularly useful for cash or card transactions. Currently, activation requires a one‑time secure token, and ING will soon introduce certificate‑based authorization.

Banking services are now fully integrated with KSeF.
When asked what they expect from their banks after the rollout of KSeF, SMEs most frequently cited: easier invoice payments (38%), the ability to issue invoices directly within their banking system (37%), and access to KSeF invoices in their banking system (34%). One in three respondents also expressed a desire for banks to provide education related to the new system.
“For ING Bank Poland, ensuring seamless integration between business accounts and KSeF is another step toward building a comprehensive support ecosystem for entrepreneurs. Our online banking platform will become an even more powerful hub for managing company finances. For our business clients, KSeF integration offers several key benefits: convenience and time savings by eliminating rekeying of invoice data, greater security through reduced risk of errors, and improved control over invoice flows with all information accessible in one place,” said Bartosz Traczyk, Managing Director responsible for Daily & Transaction Banking Products at ING Bank Poland.
