Real time payments have already been introduced in several countries and e-invoicing regulation is also coming in many jurisdictions. The workshop will focus on how the integration of e-invoicing and real time payments creates tangible value for SMEs in their day-to-day financial administration and tax compliance. Invoice processing and payments for SMEs is always a pain point: these are exercises that in many cases take time precious from the SME owner, who prefers to do business instead of financial administration tasks. In addition to theory, we will also present a business case for an SME customer comparing the costs of invoice management and payments in the paper-based and digital worlds.
