The customers of Nest Bank in Poland, who have iOS phones can now set up an account with a selfie. It is the next step after the success of the service on the Android platform.

As announced, Nest Bank is developing its process of setting up an account with a selfie. Along with the release of the new functionality for iOS, the Bank also introduced the possibility of using the referral program (both for iOS and Android devices).

An account with a selfie is a convenience for everyone who prefers to do banking formalities from the home couch. The service can be used by both individual customers and sole entrepreneurs. “Onboarding selfie”, as this process is called, is based on the automatic verification of the customer’s identity document and its video verification. Thanks to this solution, the customer can set up a Bank account in just a few minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The completely remote process of opening an account takes place via the Nest Bank mobile application. Automatic ID recognition and OCR help in verifying the identity document. This is a solution that recognizes text in photos, thanks to which basic information is supplemented in the application, which significantly shortens the entire process (the technology was provided by IDENTT). From the very beginning, the new account creation service achieved the same results as the one implemented with the support of the advisor.

Nest Bank referral program – now also with a selfie

Now, by creating an account on a selfie, the customers can also use the referral program. If a new customer has received an invitation from his friend – a current Nest customer – he/she will receive an additional bonus: PLN 50 for setting up a Nest Account or PLN 100 for setting up a BIZnest Account (each account must be active, the invitee must give marketing consent, and the application must provide the referrer). In addition, the person to whom Nest grants a business loan by recommendation will receive 1% of the loan amount (no more than PLN 1000 at a time).

More information about the referral program can be found here (in Polish).

    About IDENTT

The solutions of experts in biometrics, IT, and new technologies are used by almost all the largest Polish banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
