Introducing GD Next’s API sandbox BankEmu’s latest innovation: integration with Wultra’s Mobile Authentication app for SCA (Strong Customer Authentication).
GD Next’s platform offers a comprehensive testing environment for both Open Banking APIs and the complete SCA process. With the addition of Decoupled SCA alongside existing methods, BankEmu ensures seamless, secure, and cost-effective authentication.
GD Next is pleased to share some good news with you. Their bank emulation platform and API sandbox for Open Banking services — BankEmu — is now integrated with a new solution for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) — a mobile authentication application from our strategic partner, Wultra.
To offer the customers the opportunity to test not only individual Open Banking APIs but also the full SCA process with all steps, which is an integral and important component of the Open Banking framework, GD Next has expanded the capabilities of our sandbox.
From now on, in addition to the current authentication approaches (Redirect SCA and Embedded SCA) available in BankEmu, a new one is added — Decoupled SCA.
Mobile app authentication is becoming increasingly popular due to the growing use of mobile and smart devices by the population of European countries. This method has numerous advantages, as it does not require much effort to integrate with the client’s existing systems, is cost-effective (it can provide up to 60% cost savings compared to SMS-OTP), is secure, and significantly improves the customer experience.
Wultra’s Mobile Authentication is an easy-to-integrate white-label solution and SDK, designed to meet the diverse needs and use cases of banks and fintech service providers, specifically adapted to the regulatory requirements of the European market and global security standards.
At the same time, you should keep in mind that having a modern dynamic API sandbox is a must when interacting with consumers of your public or premium (partner) APIs and is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness of interaction.
The BankEmu platform enables all ecosystem participants to test new features and services on the go and integrate with APIs within one day. A high-quality test environment and a developer portal for development teams are the best spaces for collaboration and a channel for direct, fast feedback from your API clients.
If you are looking for new modern authentication methods for your customers or want to improve the quality and speed of API implementation and maintenance and reduce support costs, contact the GD Next team to know more.
