OTP Bank in Romania was selected by the state to join the Start-up Nation 2022 program implemented by the Ministry of Business Environment, Trade, and Entrepreneurship. The program provides for the granting of a non-reimbursable financial aid from the state within the maximum limit of RON 200 thousand, for each startup established after January 1st, 2020, which meets the eligibility criteria mentioned in the program.
As an active partner in significant projects for entrepreneurs, OTP Bank Romania by joining the government program offers beneficiaries several advantages in accessing the Bank’s services and products. Thus, after acceptance into the state program, entrepreneurs can open a dedicated grant account and apply for it bridge financing of 100% of the non-reimbursable financial aid, guaranteed as a percentage of up to 80% of the loan amount by the National Credit Guarantee Fund for SMEs. In addition, they have access to a dedicated current account package with zero fees for transactions and receipts, card administration, and internet banking, depending on the specifics of each package and the transactional activity of each customer.

The entrepreneurs can enroll in the Start-up Nation 2022 program between July 19th and September 1st, on the website of the Ministry of Business Environment, Trade, and Entrepreneurship.
