mBank in Poland, together with the partners, announced the second edition of the Digital Revolutions competition, in which mBank and its partners help entrepreneurs to develop their business online. There are eight prizes worth over 300 000 PLN (approx. 66 015 EUR) waiting for the winners. The jury will select them from among 823 enterprises, which applied already. The winners will be announced on August 23.
The competition is part of the Digital Revolutions social campaign, under which mBank supports micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises in developing their e-commerce activities. The support of the campaign is the educational website Cyfrrewolucje.pl, which is a compendium of knowledge about online sales.
This year, 823 enterprises applied for the competition, nearly 300 more than a year ago. Most of them, about 70% have already done their first steps in online sales. This is a definite change compared to last year when almost 60% did not have any experience in operating on the internet.
The IT, retail, and clothing industries dominate among the submitted projects. Many applications also concern consulting enterprises. Most of the contestants are young entrepreneurs that were founded in 2019 and 2020 and employ from one to three people. They are competing for eight awards with a total value of over 300 000 PLN (approx. 66 015 EUR), two main prizes worth over 100 000 PLN (approx. 22 005 EUR), and several consolation prizes.
The winners will be selected by a jury composed of experts from various fields related to e-commerce. The competition partners are Ceneo, Cube, DIMAQ, DPD Polska, IdeoForce, Gessel, Lex Secure, mElements, Samito, Sky Shop. Mastercard is the strategic partner and founder of the main prizes.
