Micro, small, and medium-sized companies, as well as small mid-caps and mid-caps, can now apply to PKO Bank Polski for an ecological loan with subsidies from BGK. The loan can be used for investments that will reduce energy consumption in the company, e.g. thermal modernization, modernization of technical infrastructure, or investments in renewable energy sources. The funding will cover from 25 to 80 percent of investment expenses.

An ecological loan with a subsidy can be used for: the purchase of machinery and equipment, construction works and materials, intangible assets (e.g. patents, licenses, know-how), studies, expert opinions, concepts, and technical projects. After completing the investment, the company should reduce energy consumption (e.g. electricity, gas) by at least 30 percent compared to the state before the investment. Before submitting a loan application, the company should conduct an energy audit of the planned project. Importantly, its costs can be included in the eligible costs of the project. The amount of support for the investment depends on its nature, place of implementation, and project size and may range from 25 to 80 percent. The subsidy is a refund of the capital part of the ecological loan intended to cover the entrepreneur’s eligible costs.
