PKO Bank Polski has already robotized 320 business processes, and “digital employees” have completed a total of over 300 million tasks. In the last 12 months alone, robots have performed 100 million activities. Automation of repetitive and mass processes allows you to handle a larger number of customer transactions and increases operational efficiency. The bank used an intelligent data reading tool for 7 million paper documents and scans, which allowed it to power robots and accelerate the automation of many processes.
– To create real value for customers, we need effective operations and efficient teams of employees. At PKO Bank Polski, we continue the digital transformation of processes and use increasingly advanced tools. We still see potential in RPA technology, which, combined with OCR, low code, no code, and artificial intelligence solutions, supports the automation of increasingly complex tasks. Thanks to the use of modern technologies, we can handle more transactions in less time, manage teams more effectively, and better respond to the needs of our clients, – says Agnieszka WroÅ„ska, Director of the Services Transformation Division, Operations and International Banking Area at PKO Bank Polski.
Increased operational efficiency
Robotization at PKO Bank Polski enables handling more transactions in a shorter time, which increases the bank’s throughput. Processes that previously took many hours are now completed in a few minutes or even seconds. This increases the efficiency of employees who can focus on more strategic tasks instead of performing repetitive activities. Automation also improves the bank’s operational flexibility and helps it adapt more quickly to changing market conditions and customer needs. The bank uses IT solutions that support the free design and modeling of processes and data flows, and employees do not have to transfer information manually from system to system. This increases the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of daily operations. It makes it easier to quickly respond to business changes and even helps predict them.
Robotization Academy
In April last year, PKO Bank Polski launched the Robotization Academy to enable employees to robotize simpler tasks through education and access to advanced technologies. Currently, they can prepare less complicated solutions on their own and automate their daily activities. Using a robot at the workplace shortens the time needed to perform individual tasks. On the scale of such a large organization as PKO Bank Polski, this brings real-time savings for entire teams.
– Robotization Academy is a unique, original program that enables participants to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of robotization and simple programming. For employees, it is an adventure with modern technology and new competencies that allow them to improve the quality of their work. During the workshops, employees learn techniques for creating simple robots and prepare the virtual assistants that help them shorten the time needed to perform individual tasks, which increases work comfort, – says Arkadiusz Szot, Director of the Hyperautomation of Processes Department, Operations and International Banking Area at PKO Bank Polski.
Robotization at PKO Bank also reduces operational costs related to manual work and paper documents.
