Banca Transilvania launches the BTPOS App, which transforms the device with the Android operating system of a merchant into a POS that accepts contactless payments with a card, phone, or other payment accessories.
BT offers a whole ecosystem of payment solutions: traditional POS, Android POS, mobile POS, BT BTeComm’s eCommerce solution, STAR multi-merchant loyalty program, accepting meal vouchers, etc. These are presented on BTePOS.ro, the platform through which merchants can order everything they need to offer customers the opportunity to pay by card, phone, or online.
“Through this launch we continue the digital journey, completing the range of solutions for accepting payment cards. The POS phone application offers entrepreneurs a convenient, fast and practical alternative. The solution can be used by merchants either stand-alone or integrated with the merchant’s application and also complementary to the acceptance solutions already used “, says Oana Ilas, Executive Director of Retail Product Development and Management, Banca Transilvania.
BT, the leader in card payment solutions
- Over 43,000 companies have over 80,000 BT POS, and the market share depending on the acceptance rate of card payment solutions at merchants is almost 30%.
- The bank also focuses on the eCommerce area, having its own BT eComm solution, and is the market leader, covering the transaction processing of over 9,700 online merchants.
- The STAR program includes over 19,000 merchants, with about 17,000 physical stores accepting payment in installments and STAR loyalty points, and over 2,300 online stores.
