Türkiye İş Bankası (İşbank), together with Pazarama, launched the “Women’s Power, Agriculture of the Future” campaign to support women farmers, the rapidly growing innovative platform of the e-commerce sector. With the campaign, women entrepreneurs and women’s cooperatives engaged in agricultural production can shop on Pazarama without fee and shipping costs up to a certain amount. While they will have the opportunity to make sales, they will also be able to benefit from training in areas such as market access, sales marketing, and financial, digital, and agricultural literacy.
Türkiye İş Bankası and Pazarama launched the “Women’s Power, Agriculture of the Future” campaign to empower women producers operating in agriculture and contribute to gender equality.
In the project, which will provide women farmers and women’s cooperatives with the opportunity to deliver their products directly to consumers, women producers will be allocated on the Pazarama platform and will be offered the opportunity to sell without fee and shipping costs up to a certain amount. Meanwhile, women producers participating in the project will benefit from training such as market access, quality processes, branding, e-commerce, marketing and sales techniques, and financial and agricultural literacy.
“We believe that our campaign, which will be carried out in cooperation with Pazarama, will open new opportunities for many women producers who play an active role in agricultural production, both individually and through cooperatives, and who are open to innovation and development,” – said Sezgin Yılmaz, Deputy General Manager at Türkiye İş Bankası.
“Today, the requirements of the digital age and customer needs make it inevitable for manufacturers to take an active role in e-commerce. Pazarama goes beyond being an e-commerce platform and aims to spread this entrepreneurial spirit to various segments. We are happy to stand by women producers in a critical sector such as agriculture with this campaign. We believe that this support will pave the way for women who are on their way to becoming a brand, working to expand their product range, and having difficulty reaching consumers directly,” – said Serkan Uğraş Kaygalak, Chief Executive Officer at Pazarama.
