UniCredit Bank in Romania was selected by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism as a partner lending institution for the implementation of the National Programs to stimulate the establishment and development of SMEs in the period 2022-2027.
In the context of the National Program, “Start-Up Nation-Romania 2022”, UniCredit can make available to selected beneficiaries accounts dedicated to the measures established by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism Order 1.111/28.06.2022, pre-financing solutions for the realization of the expenses related to the eligible project or investment loans to ensure the co-financing of the project. In addition, the customers also have access to a trading offer that includes current accounts and the most modern digital solutions. Thus, within the Creative and GeniusSME transactional packages offered by UniCredit to company customers, but also entities without legal personality, they can benefit from up to three free qualified digital certificates, which they can use immediately both for signing documents about business partners or public institutions.
Also, through the bridging loan, UniCredit Bank can finance up to 100% of the value of the de minimis aid, and through the investment loan for co-financing, up to 100% of the value of the co-financing. For all financing structures, the stipulated interest rate is ROBOR 6M + 2.5% margin; granting fee of 0.5% of the loan value and an administration fee of 1% of the loan value.

According to the Program Implementation Procedure, the financial allowance granted to startups is up to RON 100,000 (approx. EUR 20,490)/beneficiary for applicants who undertake the creation and maintenance of a job or RON 200,000 (approx. EUR 40,990)/beneficiary for applicants who undertake the creation and maintenance of a second job through the Program.
