UniCredit Bulbank in cooperation with Microsoft and Crayon launched the Together4Digital initiative in Bulgaria. The project aims to support SMEs in the digital transformation and development of their cyber security by providing free consultations, financial advice, and digital tools for sustainable economic growth. In the first year, the initiative aims to reach 6,000 enterprises.
Some recent data indicate that SMEs are the backbone of the Bulgarian economy and represent 75.7% of the total number of enterprises and 65.3% of the added value in the economy. 50% of its total exports are carried out by SMEs, which represent 98% of all exporters in Bulgaria. Having more diverse needs than larger organizations, however, small businesses often lag in digital transformation.
As part of Together4Digital, UniCredit Bulbank will contribute its experience in financial consulting, while Microsoft and Crayon will share their experience in technology, appropriate technology solutions, and cyber security through digital enterprise assessment and consulting.

“As a leading business partner in the country, it is extremely important for us to create working financial proposals. Every business deserves the most reliable digital solutions, and the Bank will provide customers with its financial expertise and support for their acquisition according to their needs,” – commented Borislav Genov, Head of Retail Banking and Member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank.
“We are at a stage where every organization must be digital because digital technologies are the key that fuels economic development. We look forward to supporting Bulgarian SMEs in their digital transformation and their future transformation into greener, wealthier, more innovative, and competitive businesses,” – commented Kalin Dimcheva, Executive Director of Microsoft Bulgaria.
“With increasing security challenges over the past decade, it is more important than ever that Bulgarian businesses are prepared and protected. At Crayon Bulgaria, we have the skills and experience to provide customers with comprehensive Microsoft solutions that guarantee the safety and security of data for SMEs. We are proud to support the initiative to digitize SMEs, providing them with maximum access to available digital opportunities,” – said Oana Piperova, Executive Director of Crayon Bulgaria.
The Together4Digital initiative was launched for the first time in Italy. Bulgaria is the second European market that will benefit from its potential.
