ING Bank Poland is developing an e-commerce payment offer through the imoje gateway. From now on, customers using imoje thanks to Visa Mobile can also pay online quickly and safely with a Visa card using their phone number.
The new type of payment allows customers to make online purchases without the need to enter data such as expiration date, CVV code, name and surname of the holder, or card number. When paying with Visa Mobile, they must enter their phone number and authorize it in the banking application. Visa Mobile is a solution created by Visa, one of the global leaders in digital payments.
The dynamic development of e-commerce and consumer habits affect the types of solutions appearing on the market. For a long time, customers have been looking for and are much more willing to choose payment methods that are conducive to the quick finalization of the transaction. Undoubtedly, Visa Mobile is part of this trend, allowing them to pay without having to click between windows or rewrite codes and numbers. For buyers, this is a benefit in the form of payment convenience and payment security. Thanks to Visa Mobile, transactions are protected by a chargeback. This means that if purchases are made from a dishonest seller or if a package is lost/damaged, a Visa-paying consumer can get his/her money back. In this case, the customer should contact his/her bank.
“We are constantly developing our payment solutions, so the natural step for us is to implement Visa Mobile in the imoje online payment gateway. We want to give more opportunities to our merchants. A wider range of payments also means reaching a larger number of customers,” – says Kamil Adamski, Merchant Services Director at ING Bank Poland. “Currently, both buyers and sellers expect convenience and maximum shortening of the purchasing process – fast and intuitive payments, and Visa Mobile is an example of such a solution,” – adds Kamil Adamski.
“Behind Visa Mobile is tokenization. It is the foundation on which we build solutions that can change the future of how we buy and sell. It allows e.g. reduce e-commerce fraud, but the benefits go beyond security. This technology allows us to create faster and more flexible payment methods, which is appreciated by Visa card users, both in-store and online,” – says Adrian Kurowski, General Manager at Visa in Poland.
imoje already allows customers to accept payments on the Internet using all the most popular methods, such as fast transfers, payment cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. In addition, the popularity of the “I pay later” method is constantly growing, which allows business customers to postpone online purchases. From now on, customers will also be able to use the fast and convenient Visa Mobile payment method.
Visa Mobile is a secure payment method. The solution is based on the Click to Pay service and uses the EMV Secure Remote Commerce (SRC) standard, which is a pattern for card payments on the Internet. The Visa Mobile payment option appears automatically in the payment gateway form when selecting imoje.
